Snailwell Stud provides the perfect environment for broodmares and stallions, preparation for the sales and the resting and breaking of yearlings.

Founded in 1910 by Lord Howard de Walden then taken over in 1945 by the Joel family, the stud is known for boarding numerous high quality mares and has stood a number of Group 1 winning stallions to include Chamossaire and Busted. The stud was then purchased in 2016 by Martyn Meade who has embarked on a total renovation and restoration programme.

The stud provides a quiet and relaxing atmosphere with 70 boxes, 4 stallion boxes and acres of well-maintained turnout paddocks.

Snailwell Stud consigns to all the major sales in England and Ireland, where we are always on hand to offer advice, guidance and support to new and existing owners.
